Mackey Marianist Lectures:
Catholicism in Prophetic Dialogue
The Mackey Marianist Lectures are named after the late Fr. Robert Mackey, S.M., one of the founders and the first president of Chaminade University. Fr. Mackey dedicated his life to using his Christian and Marianist principles to making the world a better place for all -- especially for the poor and the marginalized. As a way of keeping that spirit alive the three institutions on the Kalaepohaku Campus (The Marianist Center of Hawai'i, Chaminade University and St. Louis School) jointly sponsor this lecture series. All of the lectures are free and are usually held on a Sunday afternoon in Mystical Rose Oratory at 4p.m. each academic semester.
Sr. Anne Bryan Smollin, CSJ,Ph.D. is a Sister of St. Joseph and is a therapist, group facilitator, international lecturer and consultant. Some of her special topics include humor, laughter, joy, stress, interpersonal relationships, communication and motivation. She is the Executive Director of Counseling for Laity in Albany, New York. Sister Anne received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Walden University in Florida. She is also the author of several books.

Sr. Anne's Lecture is entitled: TICKLE YOUR SOUL: LIVE WELL, LOVE MUCH, LAUGH OFTEN

We will have the lecture in Mystical Rose Oratory (campus chapel) on the Saint Louis School/Chaminade University Campus after an 8:30am Morning Prayer at BILAC on Saturday, November 5, 2010. Although the lecture is free, attendance at the rest of the BILAC events is subject to registration. Please click on "Marianist BILAC" on our homepage for further information.
